Terms of Service and Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 4th November 2026

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you book or buy coaching from Verba Global (Melissa Stansfield, ABN 60 564 505 359). By booking or paying, you agree to them.

2. Our services

We provide online English coaching, usually in 50-minute sessions via Google Meet, plus any written feedback or materials included in your package. A free 15-minute discovery call is available to help you decide if coaching is right for you.

3. Prices and payment

  • Prices are in US dollars. Your bank may charge currency conversion fees.
  • Current prices are shown on our Pricing page: Single Session US$90, Four Sessions US$340, Eight Sessions US$640.
  • Payment is due in full when you book or buy a package.
  • We are not registered for GST.
  • You will receive a receipt or tax invoice by email showing our ABN.

4. Packages and expiry

Four-session and eight-session packages must be used within 4 months of purchase. Sessions are booked in advance with us.

5. Rescheduling and cancellation

  • By you: please give at least 24 hours notice to reschedule or cancel a session. If you give enough notice, we will reschedule at no cost.
  • Late cancellations or no-shows: a session cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, or missed without notice, is treated as delivered and is not refunded or rescheduled. We may make exceptions for genuine emergencies.
  • By us: if we need to cancel or reschedule, we will give you as much notice as we can and offer a new time or a refund for that session.
  • Late arrival: if you arrive late, the session still ends at its scheduled time.

6. Refunds

  • If you are unhappy with your first session, tell us within 48 hours and we will refund it.
  • Used sessions and late cancellations are not refundable.
  • Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded, including that they will be provided with due care and skill. If we fail to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy.

7. No guarantee of results

We will do our best to help you improve your English. Results depend on many things, including how much you practise, so we cannot guarantee a particular outcome such as an exam score, job offer or promotion.

8. Your responsibilities

Please attend on time, have a stable internet connection, and treat us respectfully. We may end coaching, with a refund for unused sessions, if behaviour is abusive or inappropriate. Please do not share private or sensitive information about other people in sessions.

9. Recordings

We will not record a session without your agreement. You may not record, share or publish our sessions or materials without our written permission.

10. Intellectual property

Worksheets, templates and other materials we provide remain our property. You may use them for your own learning, but not copy, sell or share them.

11. Our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost income or missed opportunities. Where the law allows us to limit our liability for a breach of a consumer guarantee, it is limited to re-supplying the service or refunding what you paid for it. This does not limit any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

12. Complaints

If you have a concern, email hello@verbaglobal.net. We will acknowledge it within 3 business days and work with you to resolve it.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Disputes are subject to the courts of that state.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in place when you book applies to your booking.
