Who we are

Verba Global is operated by Melissa Stansfield, ABN 60 564 505 359, an Australian business ("we", "us"). You can contact us at hello@verbaglobal.net.

What information we collect

  • Contact details: your name and email address when you send an enquiry, book a discovery call or buy a session.
  • Coaching information: your goals, English level, first language, and any work, exam or study details you choose to share.
  • Session materials: documents, drafts or recordings you send us for feedback.
  • Payment information: payments are handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details.

How we use your information

We use your information to reply to enquiries, schedule and deliver coaching, send session materials and invoices, improve our services, and meet legal and tax obligations. We do not sell your information. We only send marketing emails if you have asked for them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

We use trusted providers to run our business, including Google Workspace and Google Meet, Lovable and Stripe. They only receive what they need to provide their service. Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States. By using our services you understand your information may be processed overseas. We take reasonable steps to make sure these providers protect it.

How long we keep it

We keep client records for as long as needed to deliver our services and meet tax and legal requirements (generally up to 7 years for financial records). Enquiries that do not lead to coaching are deleted after 12 months. Recordings, if any, are deleted after 30 days.

Security

We store information in password-protected accounts with reputable providers and limit who can see it. No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and the relevant authority as required by law.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@verbaglobal.net. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au). If you are in the European Union or United Kingdom, you may also have rights under the GDPR or UK GDPR, such as objecting to processing or requesting a copy of your data. Contact us to use them.
